Your questions, answered
Am I a candidate?
It works on localized fat in skin that keeps its elasticity. It is not a treatment for obesity or weight loss, and it does not improve cellulite.
When can I go back to work?
Usually between 1 and 2 weeks. You walk from the first day, wearing a compression garment.
When will I see the final result?
Swelling goes down gradually and can last up to six months. In high-definition liposculpture, up to a year.
Does the fat come back?
The fat cells removed do not come back. But if your weight goes up significantly, new fat can appear, even in treated areas.
What are VASER and high definition?
VASER uses ultrasound to soften fat before removing it. High definition enhances the contour of the muscles and is for people close to their ideal weight with elastic skin.
How long do I wear the compression garment?
It is recommended day and night for at least the first 2 weeks and then for several more weeks.
What are the risks?
Seroma, hematoma, infection, irregularities, fibrosis, scar discoloration and thrombosis. The risk is higher with diabetes or heart disease, and for safety there is a limit on how much fat is removed.
Is liposculpture right for me?
That can only be determined after reviewing your medical information, anatomy and goals during a consultation.
Is a price published on this page?
No. The final value is defined after the consultation because it depends on the indicated procedure, complexity, surgical time and each person’s needs.
